My Fenix 5X garmin will not find my watch to update??

It will start charging but there is a lot of updates waiting to connect and get the downloads waiting for it. It will charge the watch which tells me MacBook Pro seems to connect is just not finding the watch even with a manual search for watch to upgrade. I have 19 map/app upgrades?
