I charged my phone till 70% at night and left it on my table. When I woke up, my phone battery dropped to zero in a span of just 9 hours. I checked the battery usage and there wasn't any app running that caused this tremendous drop in battery percentage.
I just got this phone 2 months ago so I'm kinda worried. What is the cause of this and what should I do?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

In addition to what deggie suggested-update to ios 15.3.1 and also try a force restart.
