erase everything one iPad and not on the other

Can I erase everything on and reset one iPad without affecting my other iPad which is connected to the same account? Does the erase/reset setting only affect the device you’re actually using?

Thank you

Hello Bluedoorblackcat,

It sounds like you need help erasing your device. We'll be glad to help.

If you are just restoring the device itself, it will not have an affect on content on another device. Here's a link to guide you: How to erase your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

On the other hand, if you are referring to deleting a specific item, such as a photo, on one device and wondering if that will affect the other, it will if you're using the same iCloud account on both devices.

We hope this helps clear that up.
