How to set Ipad auto lock after 1 hour

Hey!

Is there a way to set the auto lock on the ipad a period like after 1 hour?

Would really appreciate if there is a solution to this, cuz I dont want it to be always on eating battery, but at the same time 15minutes is too short for my application.)

Under touchID or FaceID & passcode, if you use touchID or use FaceID, then “immediately” is the one and only option.

Under display and brightness, the auto lock timeout default would be 2, 5, 10, 15 minutes or never. But an employer account security settings can remove any of those ad force limitations on the device. That is a consequence of your employer allowing you to use your work account on a personal device.

Go to

Settings

Then scroll way down (6th one after General which is in the 3rd section) to TouchID & Passcode.

Will have to enter your passcode to make these changes.

Then go to 4th section of choices to Require Passcode and then to the right in light gray you will see the word 'After'

NOW you can control the intervals for the passcode request SEPARATE from the Autolock time. It will most probably have 'immediately' checked off since, as stated above, it's the default. But that is what makes the autolock more than just a screen saver.

Now if finger print is used, this is all sort of moot.

But for those using a passcode it resolves the issue of having to type in the passcode all the time.
