iPad cable to connect to ihome devices

Not specifically. You can use the earphone connection if that will work for you. Also, the Camera Connection Kit's USB adopter supports some USB audio devices.

If you mean the dock connector on the iHome try the 3GJuice cable. I've used it to connect both my iP4 and iPad to my iKicker 501.

There are less expensive solutions available but one has to be careful. Many dock extender cables only extend the charge and sync connections and do not have audio.

Robert, just tried to use that cable with my Ipad and an ihome ip87.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work consistently. Just wanted to make sure you had success with an iPad before I returned the cable.

Sorry, I meant that last response for the forumite who claimed it would work - just reread his post and realized he never mentioned the Ipad. I stupidly just bought the cable - have had no response from apple, ihome, or the maker of the cable.
I know they're coming out with an iPad model of the ihome very soon. Thanks for your input.

You posted in response to me, but addressed Robert. To save time I thought I'd give you my experience with the 3GJuice cable. It works well with my 32GB 3GS used as an iTouch, with my 64GB iPad 3G, and with my iPhone 4. I've connected them to my iKicker 501 and to my Griffin RoadTrip Auto Tune. No problems with any of them with either device when connected through the 3GJuice cable.

there are cables out there to connect to all the docks and speakers out there, unfortunately i-Pad doesnt support them so wont work. I personaly dont care about it chargeing when connected to a dock just want to be able to use for audio playback
