Apple keeps trying to charge me to link my card. I have no subscriptions but it won’t link without trying to charge me money

Even for free apps/subscriptions, Apple requires that you have a valid payment method associated with your Apple ID. However, they do not charge you for linking this payment method.

It may be possible that you are getting scammed by someone, other than Apple, in this situation.

Again, it is very possible that you are being scammed. Regardless, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly to see if they can help you resolve this.
