Apple keeps trying to charge me to link my card. I have no subscriptions but it won’t link without trying to charge me money

Why do I keep getting unknown charges?

Even for free apps/subscriptions, Apple requires that you have a valid payment method associated with your Apple ID. However, they do not charge you for linking this payment method.


It may be possible that you are getting scammed by someone, other than Apple, in this situation.

Again, it is very possible that you are being scammed. Regardless, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly to see if they can help you resolve this. To do so, simply select the "Get Support" link in the upper right-hand side of this forum's webpage. We are just fellow Apple-product users here and there is nothing we can do to assist you with this matter. Sorry!

I’ve been getting unknown charges since October 4th from apple, and it seems for some reason even though my old email isn’t linked to a phone, it is still charging my card. I would like refunds from the old account from the date October 4th til now. There is no reason why my card should be linked to an email that isn’t set up on an iPhone.
