What does the following message mean? How can I correct it?

A bit of trivia. QuickTime Player is listed as an option to play .opus files.
of course if you choose it, it won't open it.
reinstall it maybe some files missing
... and did you check the log file as mentioned in the message? The .opus file type does not appear to be one that is supported.
FWIW, VLC will play .opus files.
Yikes! Thanks, I will have to update my sources as the ones I used did not indicate .opus as being supported.
Must be something that will be revealed to the OP if they check the log.
You're welcome. IINA will play them also. They are basically OGG files. What I don't know is whether WhatsApp does something to them.
