how do I retrieve safety and amber notifications?

Where is a notification in iPhone? Yesterday a public-safety alert came in on my iPhone SE (running iOS 16.3.1). it appeared in front of the application that I was looking at. I closed that application, and the notification disappeared from view. I looked through my iPhone. I found no notifications at all. The public-safety alert did not appear in either Messages or Mail. I would like to see the alert again so that I may read it more carefully. Do notifications go anywhere so that we may read them again?

How to find yesterday’s notifications I had a notification message that I can’t find I found it again today but then I swiped up and now it’s gone gone gone It now appears the notifications updated with today messages i have a Vacation Rental & someone asking for a 20 night stay really need to find this message & respond back help please

If you'd like to set these up, check this out: About emergency and government alerts on iPhone and Apple Watch. This shows you how to set these up. You'll also see that these alerts are not available in all regions if you don't see it on your device.
