While painting in Procreate, the Apple Pencil color keeps changing. Is this a problem with the pencil or the app?

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. One way to isolate this issue would be to test out using your Apple Pencil with another app and see if any issues arise. You can use Pencil with Notes and other apps. If everything works out in another app, there may be an issue with the app in which case the steps here could help:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

If it does continue in other apps, unpair your Apple Pencil from your iPad. Check for updates to iPadOS:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then pair your Pencil back and test again.
