Microsoft teams (specifically) not installing

Hi,

I have a very weird problem with my iPhone 7.

As the backstory, I have offloaded the already installed and working Microsoft teams app from my device to open up some space in the device (having a 32 geb iPhone in 2022 is difficult).

After my job was done, I clicked the app icon on the Home Screen to install the app back, but then (after 30 seconds or so) I realized I might need the space for a different thing, so I long pressed (3d touched) on it and clicked on cancel download. The app icon disappeared from the Home Screen, whereas it should have just stayed with the little cloud next to the name.

Now, when I try to install it back, the download icon (cloud with arrow) flashes briefly, but then it goes back to normal, and nothing happens.

I don’t know how to install the app now, and I need it for my college, so it’s kind of important (if i cannot figure this out in a couple of days, I may have to just reset the phone)

The things I have tried to do so far are:

-try it on bought cellular and wifi

-try a different Apple ID, including one where the app was never bought (same result with the get button)

-reset the phone a couple of times

-look through my storage settings to see if teams exist somehow (it doesn’t).

Any help would be appreciated!

If you swipe all the way to the right to get to the App Library, do you see it in there? If so, hold your finger on it until it wiggles then delete. Then try a forced restart to clean up anything that might be left. If you don't see it in there, I would still suggest trying a forced restart.

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Hey there User_782,

We understand you're experiencing an issue with downloading an app to your iPhone 7.

Get started with the steps here: If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or iPad

If the issue persists, check to make sure your iPhone is up to date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also, make sure your date and time settings are set correctly: Change the date and time on iPhone

We hope this helps.

User_782,

Thanks for giving those steps a try, and keeping us posted.

If you're only experiencing issues with this specific app, check to see if it shows in Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

If you see it there, see if you're able to delete the app, restart your iPhone, then try downloading it again.

Should the issue persist, and only with this app, reach out to the app developer: How to contact an app developer

Regards.
