Can note be added to tags on MacBook Pro?

apple notes tags for the future Currently I am using Mac OS Big Sur 11.6. Of course this version doesn't have the apple notes with tags. But my question is this. If I make a note now using a hashtag such as #transform, will it be recognized as a tag when I get Mac OS Monterey so that I can start making tags in Notes even though at this point they are not recognized as tags?
