when i go to start the wach asks for an update it does but it does not move it stops

But it’s not that a problem my watch is second hand and still not make to activate stop in message say about phone updates not in watch but I have latest iOS and I have only to make back or start again and stop again

Watch 2 will only update to WatchOS6 so if that's what your watch is running then there are no further updates.
