Showing song title in "peugeot 3008" driver display

I am using an iPhone 12 (iOS 15.2.1) connected to a new Peugeot 3008 with the latest firmware from Peugeot.

If I am playing a song with Spotify and connect the iphone to the car with the bluetooth connection, I can read the name of the song in the driver display.

However, if I connect the iphone to the car with the usb cable, carplay will be used and something called "ipod" is shown in the driver display.

Carplay is working fine and I can see the spotify songs in the central touchscreen, but not in the driver screen.

Is there anything I can configure or should I consider this an expected behaviour/bug from Peugeot?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, your Peugeot 3008 shows iPod on the dashboard display when connected to a cable. We'll do our best to assist.

According to: iOS - CarPlay - Available Models Only the 2016 - 2021 Peugeot 3008, supports CarPlay.

With that said, the manufacturer would be the ones that label or title the inputs on the vehicle. You're welcome to contact Peugeot Support to determine this, but it is likely expected behavior: Contact Us | Peugeot UK

Thanks for the explanation, destiny241.

It looks then like a manufacturer issue.

I will not waste more time trying to configure the car nor the iPhone until the new Peugeot firmware is released.
