External monitor

Hey guys!

Can anyone tell me if I can use a 27“ MSI Optix Mag272CQR monitor as an external monitor for my MacBook Pro (13“ 2020 M1/8/512)?

Hope you guys know more about this technical stuff than i do! Please reach out to me if you have any idea!

Greetings Jyksi,

We’re happy to see what we can do to help with connecting an external display to your M1 MacBook Pro.

You will want to look at Connect a display to your Mac, it says for the “13-inch MacBook Pro, you can connect one external display using either of the Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports.”

Next, you will want to look at the connections available for the monitor you are wanting to use and see if it’s compatible, or if you will need an adapter. For adapter information, see Adapters for the Thunderbolt4, Thunderbolt 3, or USB-C port on your Mac.

Let us know if you still need help.

Have a great day!
