How to use a windows hard disk on mac

Goodmorning, I have the necessity to do a backup of my Mac, however I don't have any external hard disk with enough space for all the data, but I have a "windows" hard disk with enough space to contain the data of a "MacOs" hard disk. Is there any way I can put all the things in the windows one in order to use the other for the backup? I tried to to that but on mac I can't import files on the windows one and viceversa on windows.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

If this Windows drive is formatted as NTFS then you need third party software for mac to r/w

Paragon or tuxera

" necessity to do a backup of my Mac " as in Time Machine Backup ?

A Time Machine Backup  is very useful  but do read the types of drives involved.
