I have an Apple7s and my carrier (Boost) is requiring a new phone since they will no longer support my phone. For me to upgrade and keep all my picture they need my icloud information. How do I get this information?

How do I access my icloud name/password?

iPhone 7, iOS 15

Your iCloud username and password is the same as your Apple ID. But, your carrier does not need that information at all, nor should you give it out. If you purchase a new iPhone, you'll simply transfer your data from the old phone or restore a backup from your old device to your new one.

Why is Boost telling you your iPhone 7 needs replacing? It is 3G that is shutting down, not 4G/LTE which an iPhone 7 is fine with.

Every carrier is turning off 3G this year, but none other are telling people their 4G/LTE devices, like your iPhone 7, won’t continue to work just fine.

And as stated, never, ever give your AppleID and password to anyone, for any reason. They don’t need to know it.

Actually no, that makes no sense to me. Boost runs on T-Mobile’s network. T- Mobile is shutting down their 3G network but their 4G/LTE network will be around for years yet. Any iPhone from an iPhone 6 or newer is fine on TMobile’s network so there is no reason anyone using Boost with an iPhone 6 or newer should require a new iPhone.

T-Mobile actually shut their 3G off weeks ago, but I bet your iPhone 7 has continued to function just fine as a cellular telephone. If you had something older than an iPhone 6, yes, you’d need a new phone. But an iPhone 7 should be fine.

Dish, which owns Boost, is planning on rolling out their own 5G network, but that’s a long way off yet. T-Mobile is contracted to be the network provider for Boost for the next 7 years.
