Annoying "Trust this computer" message

I've seen multiple posts here and elsewhere that list 4 steps to "fix" this problem, none of which seem to work. Why is this such a complicated thing to accomplish? How about a setting to disable the trust selection (it will ALWAYS be yes).

Better yet - make it based on the device MAC address, which NEVER CHANGES, instead of cookies that people delete all the time (for good reason - they are NOT meant to be a form of permanent data storage, so why use it? ).

I assumed that your mentioning cookies meant that it was websites that were asking to be trusted. Cookies are not involved at all when syncing an iPhone to a computer.

Open iTunes, go to Preferences, Advanced tab, and click to reset warnings. Then connect the phone again. When it asks to trust the computer check to do so. It should then remember going forward. I trusted my computer once 18 months ago; it hasn’t asked since.
