Thank you. This was very helpful. It took awhile for me to sort through things. I have an older operating system Catalina 10.15. Now I can see where my files are going. I have another question, I have loaded Microsoft Office for the MAC and it is what is taking up all my space in OTHER. Why didn't it load in Apps. area? I wonder now if my MS files are being saved to "other" instead of Documents.

I found this for MS office.https://support.kerioconnect.gfi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015185700-Reducing-local-macOS-Outlook-storage-space Unless you yourself are setting where to save Microsoft documents. it saves to it's now document folder. At lest that is what I gather by reading up on it. This might be helpful to you.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/save-a-file-in-office-for-mac-421a5172-9bc6-4ef0-b452-c0939bdce786
