iPad 2021 3.5 jack, TRS or TRRS?

Is 3.5mm jack in iPad 2021 (A2602) TRRS or TRS?

I'm trying to use a headset with TRRS but I only have audio, the mic is not working.

I suppose because the jack is only TRS but I want to confirm is not a hardware fault.

I've been using wired headphones with USB C hub that has a 3.5mm jack, audio delivery is completely fine until I attempt to use the iPad's microphone at the same time. As soon as the microphone gets turned on the iPad automatically reroutes the output sound to the speakers. I'm unsure if this issue is due to the adapter I'm using, or if its a software issue (iOS 13.5) that occurs with any 3.5mm adapter? Using external mic in IOS (IPad pro 2017) When connecting a USB external mic to iPad through USB port (which works perfectly fine for connecting other gadgets, namely an MPK), the ipad keeps on using the internal mic, disregarding the external. The mic is working fine and is perfectly powered while connected to the USB port . Just the iPad does not seem to acknowledge nor establish an audio input to it. Is there a way to sort this issue? I was looking mainly into using the external mic with GarageBand.

Wired audio heads with mic not working on iPhone 12 mini? I'm using one of those lightning cable to 3.5mm jack adapter + a normal wired hands free. Now, listening to music, vids etc works as expected. The problem is when someone calls and I pick up, its not working. I dont hear them. FaceTime video audio was actually external instead of using the connected handsfree. Are there any settings or something to fix this issue? I don't want wireless headset so im trying to figure out how to make the wireless work.
