Depending on age and vintage of your Mac, the newer macOS may work.

[You'd probably have to read & check 'download-installer' links to get

an upgrade version; or your Mac may not be able to upgrade further.]

Details are usually in Support articles; several of those now point to macOS12.

If marginal, won't work in older systems due to deprecated status of hardware.
