Scanning with AirPrint Driver on macOS 12.2.1

I have a Canon MB 5450 connected via LAN to my iMac (5k, 2919). I have installed the Apple AirPrint Driver for this model. Printing and scanning works for a long time. But since macOS 12.2 or 12.2.1 scanning did not work (i do not exactly know since when). The error message is "scanner sends an error" (see attached jpeg). The LAN connection works and from Windows 10 running in a vm on the same iMac, scanning works. Anny ideas how to solve this problem?

Hi haggbard,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. As we understand, your Canon printer has stopped working with your Monterrey update.

You can test the issue inside a new user account. This would help isolate the issue to your user or system-wide. Here's how to Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

If the issue continues inside the new user, you should contact Canon Support.

If it does work inside the new user, let us know.

Have a fantastic day!
