screen sharing my 27 inch iMac mid 2011 with newer macmini

I have a very happy, but older, i Mac 27 maxxed out but stuck with 10.13. Can I share screens with a newer MacMini running 10.14 or later for newer apps? would I need a seprate keypboard and mouse? I would think so.

Hi,

If your newer Mac mini has Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt2 port, Target Display Mode is your friend.

Yes, you need another keyboard for iMac.
