What is your employer going to do with the 2nd Apple ID? iPhones and iPads are mainly single Apple ID devices. You can use one ID for iCloud and a different ID for the App Store/iTunes, but you can't use 2 Apple IDs for iCloud at the same time.

If you create/use a new Apple ID, they will lose access to some of their data and the purchases made with their existing Apple ID. You might want to explain what problems they are having with their current ID to see if someone can make suggestions that will fix their current ID problems.

You are welcome. Create a new ID (if necessary)on another Apple device/computer and sign into iCloud using the same Apple ID on the other Apple device/computer. You should then be able to sign in.

Thanks for your response, My current Apple ID was originally for my personal cell phone, but then when I was setting up my work iPhone ( years ago) I somehow used the same id and more recently got a work iPad, I had the intention of creating a new id when setting up this new iPad but only had the option to enter my “Apple ID”, no option to create new, so I went along with it, but Photos, messages etc, all on 3 devices, I want to separate my personal from work. ??
