Shoot i got my memory card in my cd slot how do i get it out

how do i get it out?please help!

mac, Mac OS X (10.6.4), i really dont know what type of mac....

Either:

a. dynamite, or

b. take it to an Apple Centre or accredited Apple dealer and get them to do it.

A user who can stick a memory card in a CD slot, and who doesn't know what Mac they have, should not attempt any repairs themselves.

Hi

Still not telling What Mac ?

But lift and tilt and Gently Shake - might help

If Mac Pro then You probably leed a body builder to do it

Guys, it has to be fairly new if it has a memory card reader!

Perhaps Mr Ives and company should reconsider putting the memory card reader slot just below the ODD slot. I am sure that many folks try to insert discs and memory card by feel alone.

sdfsddfgssdg, you may do some damage fishing around in the ODD looking for something as small as a memory card. Then any damage to your ODD would not be covered by warranty. Best to pay the price of your error and have it looked at by a pro.

Try sticking double-sided tape on a card, tape across the narrow part of the card, not lengthwise. Insert into the CD slot and it might grab the memory card. It worked for me.

I was horrified and embarrassed when this happened to me late last night when I was trying to get some work done in the dark.

Well, after seeing this post, I tried the double stick tape and it worked!!! Thank you so much for sharing!

this happened to me .. and the best solution was to cut a piece of cardboard in a shape of a hook to hook it out.

The double-sided tape worked for me too. Unfortunately, it also took out the protective lining at the opening of the CD slot. However, I popped in a CD, and it ejected properly so I guess I won't worry about that. I didn't see mtchan's response until I was posting this response or I would have tried that first.
