APP Store Download Button Issue 2022
I am unable to download applications on my iPad because the “Doubleclick to download” button is hidden and just off the side of the screen.

That is referring to the physical button that is located on the top of the iPad. You are not supposed to tap on anything on the screen itself, but double-click that physical button. That will confirm the request and your app will download.
