SSL error message when trying to connect to Cadillac XT5 Apple maps. What can be done to fix?

The message is "SSL error, cannot connect to server". Also, this message does not occur every time the map program is used. However, when it does, if I disconnect from Apple Carplay, turn the iPhone WiFi off, and then reconnect to Carplay, the SSl error does not occur. My Cadillac is a 2017 XT5.
