font size when printing Notes

When you print, you print what you see. Your printer driver and associated dialog may give you the capability to scale the output, but that will scale everything. If you just want to reduce the font size, you'll have to change the font first and then print.

Check if you have "Rewrap contents to fit page" selected.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you need help with information on how to reduce the font size in the Notes app on your Mac. If so, we'd like to help out. There is multiple ways to increase and decrease font sizes within the Notes app.

One way to do it, is to highlight what you've already typed within the Notes app and press "command ⌘ and -". This will decrease the font size. With the words highlighted, you can also click on the menu bar for the Notes app, Format > Font > Smaller.

It sounds like a problem with your print driver or printer. It sounds like it is defaulting to “scale to fit”. You’ll have to find a way to turn that off.
