Speaker problems on TV+ shows

I’ve recently purchased Apple TV and noticed that on some episodes of specifically TV+ shows there are sound problems. In moments when there is more bass, the sound starts to distort as if the speakers were broken. This only affects TV+ shows on my MacBook Pro 16” since I haven’t noticed this problem on my iPhone, other movies on my Apple TV library or other streaming services. The sound distortions are also sporadic and come and go throughout an episode. I haven’t been able to find if anyone else has this problem. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

I have a new MacBook Pro 14" with the same issue. I believe it has something to do with streaming shows and movies. The problem disappeared when I downloaded the content I was watching. At this point I'll probably just keep downloading content until the bug is fixed for streaming. It's better quality anyway and you can configure settings to automatically delete downloaded content after you watch it.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with this problem. I’m not sure if it has anything to do with streaming on a new Macs since I’m also on the new 16” MacBook Pro from this year and I’ve never heard of this issue before. I tried your workaround but on the Apple TV app preferences it shows that although you can stream up to 4K you can sadly only download at 1080 for some strange reason. I find the best thing to do is to watch with AirPods or any type of headphones. I don’t know how to report this bug but I hope it gets fixed ASAP since it completely ruins the experience. It’s a shame since so many of the TV+ Shows are unbelievably beautiful in terms of production
