Autoupdating Doesn't Work on Iphone SE 2nd Gen

I purchased a new iPhone SE 2nd Generation last fall and to date, I have not been able to get it to automatically update the operating system or the apps on my phone. Therefore, I have to manually update everything. In addition, the "Update All" feature in the App Store does not work. If I select that, and try to log in, the system does not accept my log in and keeps asking for my password. The system will accept my password if I update one at a time. Anyone know how to fix this?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hey bkerea66,

It sounds like you're having some trouble with updating, because you're constantly asked for a password.

Do you recognize the Apple ID that appears when prompted for that password? If not, the app could be associated with another Apple ID. If so, you'll want to delete the app and then download it under your Apple ID. If you do recognize the Apple ID as your own, but the password is not being accepted, sign in here: Manage your Apple ID - Apple. This will rule out any issues being with the account. If you're not able to log in, follow the prompts to reset your password.
