My rocket app is not on the launchpad or on my apple MacBook pro doc, nor is it in my applications page, how to I find and reinstall rocket icon?

If you don't have that or the rocket icon, use the "Go" menu in Finder to go to the Applications folder and then drag the Launchpad app to your Dock.
I haven’t updated to Mac OS 12, but I suspect that the LaunchPad app is within the Utilities folder, within Applications. Also note that, as noted above the Rocket icon no longer exists.
What operating system version is installed on your Mac. That is available at Apple menu > About This Mac.
Also, when you say "the rocket icon is not in the Applications folder" do you mean that you searched for the "Launchpad" app in your applications folder and it is not there?
Okay, the operating system version installed is 12.2.1. re the other questions, correct the rocket icon is not on the launchpad pages, and when I go into Finder/Applications, and scroll down through all the applications installed on my MacBook pro, there is not rocket icon/app. so the question is how to in reinstall or install the rocket application so that I can delete a problematic application from my launchpad. if i click and drag the application I want to delete to the bin and just keeps reverting to the launchpad page.
the launchpad icon is located on my dock. I am trying to delete software I downloaded from the internet from the launchpad page - because it no longer works - I am unable to remove the software and searching the net the solution provided was to drag the software icon from the launchpad page to the rocket icon on the dock, but the rocket icon is not on the dock and I can't find it in my applications

Then your question confuses me, as you say you could not find the LaunchPad app. So, perhaps the question is how to delete a downloaded app?

Understood, but do you have the icon as shown in the post by FoxFifth above? That is the icon for LaunchPad in the new Mac OS.
