Contacts not syncing

Recently got a new MacBook Air. Signed into my Apple ID and only a few of my contacts from my iPhone 11 have been transferred. How do I go about fixing this?

Perhaps to try & use iCloud to access Contacts, as that works

with any iDevice or macOS; should all settings be appropriate.
