How to add an IMAGE to Apple Wallet on iPhone

How can I add an IMAGE to Wallet? e.g. a jpg or png of my heart stent info card; or similar that are NOT part of the add-a-credit-card-train-ticket-boarding-pass ecosystem.

(Disappointing that in this question I reopen a previous 'discussion' with EXACTLY this title. The helpful honcho who replied listed a URL that took me to instructions to add those pre-set categories of docs to wallet, and specifically NOT to info on adding an IMAGE. Apologize for the all-caps; suspect shouting doesn't do much good in cases of those who are deaf to start with -- or just don't bother reading what the questioner ACTUALLY asked.)

You may, of course, add images to your Photos and house them there.

Not all objects can be added to Wallet. “A JPG or PNG of my heart stent info Card” cannot possibly be added unless the provider worked with Apple to arrange a way to do that.

Similarly, some but not all COVID vaccine documentation may be added to Wallet.

Custom shortcuts can offer several ways to display your data. The example below is a simple shortcut that presents a pre-configured menu of photos to choose from:

Notes:

  • The photos are assumed to be already in the Photos app.
  • To set up the file name of a photo in Shortcuts, reveal its name by swiping down on the photo in the Photos app.
  • The photos could alternatively be stored in iCloud Drive and the shortcut modified to obtain them from there.
  • An icon to run the shortcut can be placed on the Home screen.
  • Or a shortcut(s) can be placed in a widget – which can be vertically scrolled.
