Apple Contacts: Merging Duplicates
"Look for duplicates" isn't finding all the duplicate cards and when I select two cards to merge the Merge option isn't available in the Card menu but shows "Link Selected Cards" instead.

Let's say you have iCloud contacts and Gmail Contacts and Yahoo Contacts and there are duplicates between them. That is what linking will resolve. It will show as one Contact in macOS if you link them.

There must be some sort of difference, you may need to manually fix those. Perhaps an individual vs a company record?
Do the cards need to be exactly the same? The name is the same and some of the other data is identical but there are some differences.
Thanks. I don't use Google or Yahoo contacts but I did try linking the duplicates and that seems to stop the duplicates showing.
