iMovie and Storage

My iPad has 256gb and i have only used 120gb. I put together a 50 minute basketball game together as a project on iMovie and now I am trying to save to google storage (storage size is not an issue) folder online. i keep getting that i do not have enough storage to save the project. I have cut off the iPad and did a hard reset and i am still getting the pop up that i do not have enough storage. Any help would be appreciated. I am attaching a pic of the message i get. Thanks.

Salutations rodneyfromreidsville,

We understand that when attempting to move a video to a third-party storage, you’re encountering a message that your iPad does not have enough storage.

The error message does point to device storage as the issue, but we want to verify with you whether you are syncing your iMovie files with iCloud automatically. What leads us to this is the 5GB available space. You can double check that in Settings > your name > iCloud and see if iMovie is enabled.

Thanks.

This appears to be saving to iCloud. I think that you are trying to Save it to Files, and then iCloud Drive, and from there putting it into google storage?

If so-

When you click ‘Save To Files’, click ‘On My iPad’ instead of ‘iCloud Drive’.

I hope this helps. Have a nice day.

I’m just realizing that it says ‘On this Device’. My mistake. The only things I can think of right now are-

1- There has been a Storage Bug in iPadOS 15. Maybe that is causing problems, in which case you’ll just have to wait for a software update.

2- Maybe your iPad is 128 GB. Can you confirm? Software does take up storage, so you will need to clear out some space.
