all of a sudden my keyboard typed a blank space or a letter i did not type or something strange. i fixed it once and it had something to to with mouse keys or something like that, but i can’t remember what i did to solve it. can anyone help?

If you can get more specific about which keys are not working it will be a lot easier to help.
Try hitting the option key 5 times.
Go to Accessibility preferences and make sure Full Keyboard Access and Mouse Keys are turned OFF.
