I have been using Microsoft account as my Apple account

Your Microsoft ID/account you use for Microsoft service & products

For Apple you need to create an Apple ID for Apple service & products.

if you can add is your Microsoft account address same as Apple’s.

Check your mail box.

I'm sure you already wrote down your accounts somewhere or saved it in a Password manager or in Keychain.

Keep the @hotmail for Microsoft.

For Apple create an @icloud.com
