Can my son also use watch app on an old iPhone that is no longer active phone?

if I set my son up under family connect can he also use the watch app on my older iPhone that he uses to play with?

If you setup the watch under family sharing then the watch will use the watch app on your phone.

You can only pair a watch to one phone at a time.
