How can I bypass the (earbud) volume limiters?

It sounds like you wish to disable the Headphone Accommodation on the iPhone. If that's the case, you came from the best resource to disable this: Customize headphone audio levels on your iPhone or iPad

You'd go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Headphone Accommodation and turn it off.
