Why has the search bar on safari changed to black, how do I change it back to grey as it was?

Navigator777 -

It's possible your display has been switched to Dark Mode. Try going into System Preferences>General and click on "Light Appearance" to see if that works.

I think the problem was google search settings was set to dark mode so When I switched safari search engines this problem went away checked google settings and this indeed was the case!

I'm sorry it wasn't anything that simple. Beyond that, I really don't know where to start. (I just noticed you have an iPhone; I don't nor do I have any experience with them - sorry, again.)

No Dark mode is not on btw iPhone 11 Pro Max does have this problem…
