Apple Watch not connecting to gym equipment

My watch is running 8.4.2 but since this update it has stopped connecting to gym equipment. I’ve tried multiple bikes/treadmills that all deviously worked fine. The equipment says connected but the watch say ‘waiting’ indefinitely

This link covers how to Use gym equipment with Apple Watch. On your Apple Watch, try tapping Settings > Workout. Then, toggle "Detect Gym Equipment" off and back on. Let us know if this makes a difference.


You might also try restarting your Apple Watch if you haven't already: Restart your Apple Watch
