Syncing issue

Why doesn’t my iPad Air sync with my new iPhone 13 pro so l can send/receive text messages and FaceTime on the iPad? These features worked on my iPad when l had my iPhone X.

Check on your new iPhone that it is set to forward messages.

Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding

You will see a list of devices signed into your iCloud account. The indicator needs to be green - indicating on.

The same applies to calls.

Settings > Phone > Calls on other Devices

Make sure too that your iPad's FaceTime is active

Settings > FaceTime
