Syncing issue
Why doesn’t my iPad Air sync with my new iPhone 13 pro so l can send/receive text messages and FaceTime on the iPad? These features worked on my iPad when l had my iPhone X.

Check on your new iPhone that it is set to forward messages.
Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding
You will see a list of devices signed into your iCloud account. The indicator needs to be green - indicating on.
The same applies to calls.
Settings > Phone > Calls on other Devices
Make sure too that your iPad's FaceTime is active
Settings > FaceTime
Check on your new iPhone that it is set to forward messages.
