An iPad 5th generation model, if it has wifi+cellular features, supports 4G/LTE data connections.

Look at the back cover of your device, and find the "Axxxx" code (where xxxx are four numbers), then check:

A1822 = Wifi only model

A1823 = Wifi+Cellular model.
