Why would my (only) computer, which downloaded the content, be told "this computer is not authorized to play"?

To play downloaded video content from the iTunes Store or TV app Channels (or music or books through Apple), computers have the be “authorized”. Users can do this themselves for up to 5 computers per account. Easy as menu Account﹥Authorizations﹥Authorize This Computer.
