Deleting and Editing Episodes on Podcasts Connect

Hello! I have published a few podcast episodes through Podcasts Connect, and now I want to delete an episode and edit an episode. It seems so simple, but I cannot figure it out! Thank you for your help!

Not sure what you mean, but as far as Apple Podcasts is concerned each episode is contained within <item>...</item> tags and its media file is contained within those tags in the <enclosure' tag. There should only be one feed, containing all the episodes. Any other feed with be an entirely different podcast. The data for each episode and its season are also within the <item> tags.

However I would expect you would make the modifications in Spreaker rather than tampering with the feed itself. I can't advise on the specifics of how you would do that.

Have you done this by cfreating and submitting a feed? If so, just delete the episodes from the feed and re-upload it to your server. They will disappear from Podcasts 'Browse' after a couple of days but subscribers will not see them listed immediately. Note, though, that any episodes which subscribers have downloaded cannot be deleted from their computers.

If you have created your podcasts directly in Podcasts Connect I can only suggest you look at their Help, or askt Support: https://itunespartner.apple.com/contact/?content_type=podcasts

Yes, I created and submitted the feed using Spreaker. I did what you said - edited on Spreaker and then submitted it back on Podcasts Connect - and, I think, that one should be good to go (but I don't know for sure because I set it to air this coming Monday). It was helpful to see you write that the old episode will disappear after a couple of days.

Secondly, do you know how to edit an existing episode on Podcasts Connect? I want to change the Season and add a description. Thank you!

Thank you so much! When I was trying to figure it out, I clicked on "Remove RSS feed" at the bottom of the "Show Information" page. I then pasted in the updated feed from Spreaker. Is that correct? Does the RSS feed pertain to all of the episodes? Basically, when I make any changes on Spreaker and then paste in the new RSS feed, does that update changes made to all of my episodes? Thanks so much for persevering with me here! I've been so frustrated, and you're giving me great hope!
