Apple Music Static and Crackling at the end/beginning of new songs

Apple Music has been generating incredibly loud Static and Crackling at the end/beginning of new songs. It has been happening recently and seems to conveniently always happen at 1:00 AM to scare the life out of me. It has happened on two pairs of Beats PowerBeats Pros and on my Bose QuietComfort buds and Bose QuietComfort headset from my iPad Pro and my iPhone Pro Max, so it is surely something wrong on the AppleMusic side.

Does anyone know what is causing this or how to stop it?

Hello patrickaddis,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you have been experiencing static when playing Apple Music.

It's possible that this could be a result of wireless interference. Check out this article for more information: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

If you've determined that wireless interference isn't the cause, please reply with the following details:

  • What version of iOS or iPadOS are you running?
  • Does this happen on Wi-Fi as well as cellular data?

Let us know, and we'll work together to find a resolution.

Cheers!
