safari 4k Netflix streaming failed after the recent macOS update

Hi,all

I was able to stream Netflix in 4K on my M1 MacBook Pro until recently my macOS got updated, and then it always stays at 1080P at best, which I can check from Control+Option+Shift+D, I looked into this issue a little bit by myself, it looks like in the System Information panel, the Control tab, there's been some changes, which removed information about T2 Securities chip, and since Netflix requires T2 chip to be able to play 4K, with the T2 chip gone it fails.

maybe I am not correct, but if I am , is this a bug then?

Hi Tim0987,

We understand that after updating the macOS, your'e unable to stream Netflix in 4K. Are you having issues with an other apps such as YouTube? If not, the issue is specific with Netflix, so we recommend reviewing this article: How to use Netflix on your Mac computer.

If you continue to have issues, reach out to Netflix support, by selecting "CALL US" or "START LIVE CHAT" if the bottom of the article .

Take care.
