Time Machine Backup
If I delete a backup disk from time machine are my previous backups still accessible
If I delete a backup disk from time machine are my previous backups still accessible
My time machine backup goes to an external hard drive. It is no longer recognizing the external disk. My question is: If I get a new external drive to back up my Mac, will it delete my current time machine backups due to me switching to the new external hard drive.?
If you mean removing the disk from Time Machine then is possible to add it back and access (use Option Key).
What do you mean by Backup disk?
If you are using more than one backup disk you can still use the other backup disk
Your new drive will start to make a new TM backup. It has nothing to do with the older drive that you removed. However, if the old is no longer recognized then it will not be much good anyway.
