How to view currently-playing song in list view?

Currently, if you use Command-L to show the currently-playing song, it shows only the album the song is on, and not a list of your library as it did a few years ago. In a previous KB reply to this question, a commenter said, "set your library and all playlists for View > As Songs. Among its other virtues, it will allow CMD-L to work acceptably." I can't find the option now. Is that still possible?

(If you answer, please be specific as to where you find the option, and whether you would right-click to access it, for example.)

This is on MacOS 12.2, Monterey.

So you cannot see the list view of an active song unless you actually started it from a playlist. If Songs (all songs) is selected and a selection is playing, it will display the album the song is on.

to be clear, you must click on the name of a playlist on the sidebar first to focus on it, and THEN select “View > As Songs” in the View Menu. Okay. Thanks.

When your playlist is open, you can set it to Songs view by using View > As Songs.

If you have many playlists, you have to do them

One.

At.

A.

Time.

There is no right-click involved.

Not sure I understand your post, but if you keep everything in Songs view it should work. Not necessary to reset the view each time.
