Why won't my MacBook Pro recognize my external mic anymore?

Hey, all - I've used my lavalier mic (TRRS) on my 2019 MacBook Pro as recently as January with no issues, but now when I try to connect it, my Mac won't recognize it as a microphone and I'm unable to use it.

In System Preferences > Sound, it's listed as "External Headphones" under Output, and doesn't come up at all under Input.

Any idea of how I can fix this? Thanks!

Install the Correct Drivers:

Contact the manufacturer, and get the correct drivers. Once installed, all should work as intended.

Important:

Get the drivers from the manufacturer and none other. Elsewise, you may end up installing malware or junk.
