Digital Boots Advantage Card won’t add to Apple wallet on new iPhone

My daughter has a digital boots advantage card and

added it to her Apple Wallet. She

changed her phone and when she tries to add the advantage card to the wallet on her new iphone she gets the following message. She factory reset the old phone and sold it. We can’t find any information anywhere how to rectify this. Any help much appreciated thanks

Boots reply is:

Unfortunately, this is a known error with new I-phones and transferring the Boots Advantage Card from the Apple Wallet over to the new device. We are currently investigating this to see if there is any resolution on our end, however in the meantime you can contact Apple Support to see if they can assist you or scan your Advantage Card directly from your Boots App.

We’re glad you’ve reached out in Apple Support Communities. It looks like you're having trouble adding a card to the Wallet app on your daughter’s new iPhone. 


Have you tried the steps found here? If you can't add cards to Wallet to use with Apple Pay


Were there any changes made to the Apple ID when changing iPhones? Try going to Apple ID and look at the payment method on the account. If it’s not showing, try adding it there.


Has anyone else added this same card to their own account, such as a friend or family member? Even if only for a temporary time?
